FAQs

365 Wellness utilizes the Direct Primary Care Practice Model where providers are paid directly by their patients. Basically, we are cutting out the middleman, which is the insurance company.  We are the FIRST MOBILE Direct Primary Care Practice in Palm Beach County. Our practice truly brings back the old-fashioned way of practicing medicine by going to a patient’s home and having the ability to spend a longer time to really get to know a patient as a “whole” person. 365 Wellness makes it a priority to have that provider-patient relationship.

This model also allows us to not have a patient wait weeks for an appointment, or wait in a waiting room, thereby allowing for more efficiency in seeing a patient sooner to arrest an issue before it becomes worse. By providing more access to healthcare in this model, not only does it increase patient satisfaction and improve health care outcomes, it also overall reduces health care costs.

We are a monthly membership practice and do not accept insurance for our consultations via text, call, telemedicine or in person. We utilize your insurance, if the patient consents, for ordering tests such as labs and imaging like a traditional practice. A patient will keep insurance for catastrophe such as ER visits, surgery and if specialists are needed. The membership rate is provided to our company for the Direct Primary Care method of care.

Yes, noninsured patients pay the monthly membership fee to have access to Primary Care Services. We always recommend that noninsured patients have an insurance plan for catastrophic events, so at least a high deductible plan. Many patients who are stable and less likely to end up in the ER annually benefit significantly cost wise from having a high deductible plan or health share plan paired with the Direct Primary Care model membership fee, which saves thousands per year. We have health insurance agents available to help guide you through this process.

Yes!

We arrive to see you at your home, or it can even be your place of work if you are in a HIPPA safe environment, meaning more private quarters to allow open conversation between you and the provider.

Appointments tend to be longer than traditional primary care practices, so no rushed visits. For new patients, typically it’s about an hour, but depends on what medical conditions or complaints a patient has, so that patient may need more or less time.

Mobile in-person appointments are usually made within 1-3 days or up to a week, which also depends on the urgency of the visit.

Same day telemedicine/phone call visits are available to members if needed.

Patients also have direct access to texting us on a HIPPA secured texting application from their mobile device.

We do many medical tasks at a mobile appointment including blood draw, EKGs, vital signs, and overall perform a medical examination within the primary care scope. We may also administer medications via injections and/or some vaccines, cryotherapy for skin tags/lesions, incision and drainage of small abscesses, and many more tasks can be arranged by us via mobile utilizing other companies.

In some cases, you can submit a receipt for your membership fees or lab/medication costs.  Some insurance companies will apply these payments toward a deductible.

Direct Primary Care is an FSA eligible expense.  However, at this time, it is unclear if HSA funds can be used to pay for DPC membership fees.  The law currently allows the use of HSA money to pay for medications, imaging tests, labs, etc.  This is a question for your tax professional.

We will not be able to admit you to the hospital and provide orders while you are there, but will stay in close communication with you, and we are here should the hospitalist or specialist in the hospital need more information on your case. Also, we will obtain the medical records from the hospital with your consent, and will be ready to see you for post-hospital follow-up care.

365 Wellness may assist if needed to collaborate with various specialists in our community to give our patients access to care in an efficient manner. We will communicate with the specialist to stay on top of your care and help to manage conditions alongside the specialist.  If a member is non-insured, many specialists are willing to provide cash pricing for visits and procedures that sometimes are less than insurance costs.

If you have any urgent issues after hours, the provider is available via text, phone call or telehealth platform within reasonable after hour contact. We do not operate as a 24-hour access practice.  If you have any non-urgent questions such as medication refills or scheduling an appointment, we will get back to you the next business day.

At 365 Wellness, we do not manage or prescribe chronic pain or attention deficit (ADHD/ADD) medications that are controlled substances.

We do for chronic management, stable patients, and patients that actively have mental health professionals on their care team. We will determine a patient’s eligibility to join our practice for this reason on a phone call consult.
