WHAT IS DIRECT PRIMARY CARE?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative alternative payment model via a monthly FLAT membership fee that gives patients an increased, and efficient access to their primary care provider. Insurance is not required to have our services, as we are not billing to a third party to provide care. A patient’s efficient and convenient access, longer times spent with their provider and a close relationship with his or her primary care provider is what makes DPC exceptional.
DPC practices tend to have affordable rates and are transparent about costs.
Members may choose to pay their own DPC membership, or employers can cover employees’ membership rate, usually in addition to a major medical health plan for catastrophic events or for employees that are non-insured so at least they have access to a PCP for preventative health and management of acute and chronic conditions, therefore reducing ER and urgent care visits/costs.
Direct Primary Care is overall saving a patient a tremendous amount of time, reduces the stress of navigating healthcare, cost saving, and yields positive and improved health care outcomes.
